Talking to Customers
I've been listening to prospective customers' pain-points for the last couple of weeks. There's been a large variance in the feedback I've gathered.
Some express hiring difficulties, some are struggling to grow their businesses post-covid, and a lucky few are hitting peak ARR.
The funniest part of all is, despite the broad spread of problems, none of my interviews have validated my original idea. It seems my idea was irrelevant to the market's true needs.
This close encounter with working on something no one needs reaffirms the importance of talking to customers.
I would rather spend years finding the right problem to solve, than years on a problem that does not exist.
